OVERVIEW

Our goal is to connect individuals with access to food and nutrition resources within the community.  Services include:
  • Nutrition Education
  • Dietary Goal Setting
  • Healthy Meal Planning
  • Accessing Food Resources
  • Connections to Community-Based Nutrition Programs
  • Grocery Store Tours
  • Culinary Classes

SERVICE FEES


KCMHSAS is a specialty-services provider for individuals with Medicaid.  All service fees are based on an individual's ability to pay.  

KCMHSAS will coordinate with insurance companies and health plans.  While no one is denied based on their financial situation, there may be a waiting list to receive non-Medicaid covered services.

COOKBOOK

Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) funded the cookbook that was created through a collaboration between Kalamazoo Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (KCMHSAS) and Kalamazoo Valley Community College (KVCC). 

The cookbook, which was developed by a team of chefs, culinary staff and dietitians both from KCMHSAS and KVCC, is made available to everyone because of the grant from MDHHS.
